You'll likely need to have a full hormone work up.
Are you planning on taking any non gender related medication?

What kind of non-gender related medication and for what purpose?

Crazy pills, because of how mental you are. They probably don't want you to kill yourself before they can cut your penis off. That's just bad for business

Probably not, my therapist hasn't really diagnosed me as being a threat to myself or anybody else; I cannot see why a medical practitioner would do the same. You on the other hand sound nervous when it comes to the medical field.

There's a pill for nerves, but the side effects include gender dysphoria and cotton mouth.

I was told (a year ago) that I should be able to try tapering off them at spring of this year. Further, they make me terribly exhausted, and I hope my mental state has stabilised sufficiently for me to be okay without medication.

Woah, 150 mg of Effexor is a large dose and especially for your body weight. I take 75 mg of the ER/XR version once a day and I weigh 190 pounds. I find the side effects are manageable and the benefits are worth it.
Have you tried a lower dose?

Yeah, I was, but no dice - 150mg is where you start getting threshold NRI effects, below that Effexor is essentially an SSRI.

Ohhhh, interesting! I didn’t know about the breakdown between SSRI and SNRI thresholds.
