Yeah, upon review... When Aang went into the avatar state you knew tides were going to be summoned, seas redirected, and that Biblical-level shit was going on. When Korra was in the avatar state, you thought "Oh that's cute. Is she trying to win an air-bending fart contest with Meelo or is she trying to defend herself again?" Aang in the avatar state is last-resort destroyer of worlds. Korra in the avatar state is ho-hum avatar turbo boost.

You're forgetting about Roku and Kyoshi.
One created an island and the other saved a village from a volcano.
In all fairness, Korra was less spiritual and obviously a bit slow.
