11 years! It's hard to believe it's been so long already. I know 4chan has been shit for years, but we wouldn't be here without it. I still lurk a few boards over there occasionally, it'll be interesting to see if anything changes. http://www.4chan.org/news

As much as I don't give a fuck about moot or 4chan, I am proud of moot. That is sincerely a huge accomplishment for any website administrator, and I do know how hard it is to run a site even for a basic 100 people. As proud of him as I am for sticking by his work and not selling out [like YouTube], it's about damn fuckin' time he retires. Holy shit! That game should've been given up a long time ago. But hey, somehow he did it. I never thought he'd be able to actually get control of his shit the way he did.

Email from 4Chan friends most of the past sent me wot OP put up and Fake Anon as Mod of TC may have dropped in when Moots crew wood alert Moot that I mentioned him for one reason or the other - Once... Moot to prove it really was him and not someone using his leaked trip code - did a web cam screen shot of a PC with TC on the screen and he held a Hi I am the real Moot and signed and dated it cause no one wanted to believe Moot would waste time playing on TC
Met him just once at a TED conference in Long Beach Ca the place I sorta grew up in - in so many ways. Moot and I wood get into a back n forth re business practice's NOT that I could do it any better cause web hosting ain't in my Expertise
I like many found my way to TC when Moot spun it off, but was out of the country for extended periods of the time when the TC MC split occurred.
Back about 3 years ago when I had time for IRC - Moot dropped in one evening & Mod On and Mod Fucs of TC and several of us had a nice chat without any barbs tossed.
There is a major lesson to be learned by many here from Moots experience. I forget where you can read him detail how he started out fully tied down to Net only play with no outside play at all and grew to fully Obese and I am not kidding.
Thing is he got smart and realized this was a major error in living life and he went outside for a while and lost the weight BUTTTTTTTTT He let himself get dragged in by creating not only 4Chan which is one hell of a deal - Except it with its massive traffic is only able to stay alive on the bitter edge of going under each year - He created a terrific art/drawing site aka Canvas nor did I follow how that ended up loosing all the start up money which was terrific considering he did that but could not fund 4Chan is similar ways.
A Mod of 4Chan sent me a snippet and said he spread the word that the reason he has dropped out of 4Chan is exactly the same reason he left his basement as a teen and started for a short while to live life for real. With 4Chan and Canvas he again was back in metaphorically basement so there was NO R/L
Now Moot said to all the Mods and Janitors that he is dropping out of twitter and Facebook and the many IRC he continued to do daily and go back to living life for real instead of tied by Fiber/Wi-Fi/Cell like a umbilical cord.
I am going to see if a private eaddy he gave me is for real and if so send him a Congrats note with apology for being so mean re his fail to capitalize on a web site that could become a real business and make real solid money. Have friends who had a Social Media operation almost exactly at the web ranking 4Chan has with the same BW use and friends were/are geeks and could never understand that BW and Servers also could with Biz101 Make money
