Based on how I with no plan2 do so turned my kiddlet hobby of Ham Radio in2 an unplanned Smashing success

Unexpected as I was on steps to registration at UCLA - Multiple companies outside spotted my geek slide rule in shirt pocket and said - Wood you like us to pay your way for your degree and put money in2 your pocket at same time. 3 companies to chose from and damn Hughes Malibu Research labs was so far beyond anything I had imagined and at time I was major fan of Si Fi stories.

Fantastic electronic labs to play in and everything Hughes HR people told me was totally true. Unlimited amounts of money to work with and no Company BS to ever deal with. Not once incident of Corporate BS EVER NEVER NOT ONCE with one minor exception which was US Gov having a Air Force Colonel, based at Hughes in Culver City who stopped me from Joining US Air force. Pissed me off at the time given I was not on any Military program and at time I wanted to join up I was working on a moon lander which was a very short term project for me cause I decided at that time Space stuff was NEVER going 2 B for me -

On the space stuff I was so wrong but so rite NOT 2 B doing it for Hughes at that time. Space electronic parts are somewhat technologically RETARDED and I wanted to work on cutting edge stuff with parts still in invention stage - Such stuff is NEVER used for space craft.

For years did NOT even make massive amounts of money doing Engineering cause I decided to work as Q for James Bond types n pay is USA Gov pay which is ok but NOT as it wood be for a company like Hughes then or Qualcomm 2day

Example US Gov pay is SET hard with hard limits - Engineers (Q)working for 3 Letter James Bond type stuff max out currently Max out at $118 to $155,000/yr and because of my young age at time I was 3 steps from top when starting which in 2days terms is $118,000 yr - I did leave at grade 15 pay = in today terms of $155,000 BUT Such agency does also pay Overtime n more for weekend work and other benefits which are spelled out for anyone to look up cause by law it has to be published.

Also anyone who considers working for US Gov Spy stuff in any capacity - The Agency will help in huge way to pay off student loans - They do not want people with financial issues working for them so they are really willing to help.

Working for Hughes over all was a more better deal re freedom to see much of wot others were doing and albeit they made it a bit difficult to switch departments THEY also wanted people to be free to roam - Just seeing wot was around the corner was always difficult re security restrictions - But as a hobby Geek kind of guy I wanted to have it all - In James Bond type stuff the Agencies make it really really really difficult - Nor at anytime did I have the open view a IT guy like Snowden had. Snowden much like someone working HR or payroll wood no all depts - I had to do such on the sneaky side - But I also found wot I was doing was wot I wanted to continue to do up till the 80's where I was offered a unique position to work in the field a bunch on n off for a decade.

Do I have to continue to work? Not Exactly The decade I worked for private sector Captive for Qualcomm paid off in massive returns re super pay and super Stock Options - 10,000 of us became overnight Rich in a matter of 6 months - Parking lot at Qualcomm started to get so much press re Engineers buying the most expensive cars available - I did not do that. Invested money instead.

Later when Qualcomm decided to get out of Electronic Hardware biz n I am a Analogue Hardware Engineer I said back to consulting for me - and Qualcomm/Globalstar became most of wot I did for the first 3 years or so b4 taking on ground based CDMA stuff like Verizon/Sprint/ and did make Mistrake of accepting AT%T TDMA shit I had previously consulted on pre Qualcomm for AT&T/Ericsson/Nokia/

I cannot find a way to get AT&T off my ass. Nor can I afford to burn bridge and force them away -

Daughter/Harvard/ playing Monopoly back when I over did it cause I just could not stop from letting banks offer me stuff so cheap it was less then worth of land and building materials n frankly I got in wayyyyy over my haid Butttttt NOW with market totally recovered - I am buying back Stock I had to hand over to Harvard and $$$$ cash flow is positive n someone here is able to verify re a credit check - One cannot have a better credit score which means I can get banks to give me about $1100/yr for totally FREE - Offers to use a new card with them paying me to try it - keep coming in
