That doesn't give someone the right to rape her, you ignorant twat. Choosing to dress a specific way gives no one the right to force themselves on another person.

Tons of men, women and children are raped and very few are dressed provocatively. Unlike what some people think, men can control themselves, they just choose not to.

A woman is at its most fertile when she is getting raped. This also weeds out the non-strong in society and allows only those that are strong and smart enough to breed.

Who do you think is going to have a better chance of getting raped:
A drunk woman wearing a short skirt.
A sober woman dressed casually.

Doesn't matter if the man can control himself, many wont, and you have to acknowledge that.

No, it depends on circumstance. Such as the area, the time, and how the person projects themselves. If a woman is in a sexy dress, but walks with her head held high and keeps track of her surroundings, she is much less likely to be raped then someone on headphones who walks with their head down. Before you can make a claim like this, you have to do research into what rape victims are normally wearing at the time.

They say you can't joke about something because it's not funny. Comedians run into that shit all the time. Like rape. They'll say, "You can't joke about rape. Rape's not funny." I say, "Fuck you, I think it's hilarious! How do you like that?" I can prove to you that rape is funny. Picture Porky Pig raping Daisy Duck! Well, why do you think they call him Porky?. I know what you're going to say. "Daisy was asking for it. Daisy was coming on to Porky. She was wearing tight feathers, he got a hard-on, he got horny, he lost control, and he couldn't help himself." A lot of men talk like that, like it's the woman's fault...These guys think women ought to go to prison for being cockteasers. Don't seem fair to me. Don't seem fair at all...but you can joke about it. I believe you can joke about anything. It all depends on how you construct the joke. What the exaggeration is. What the exaggeration is! Because every joke needs one exaggeration. Every joke needs one thing to be WAY out of proportion. Give you an example. Did you ever see a news story like this in the paper? Every now and then you run into a story, says, "some guy broke into a house, stole a lot of things and while he was in there, he raped an 81 year old woman." And I'm thinking to myself, "WHY??? What the fuck kind of a social life does this guy have?" I want to say, "Why did you do that?" "Well, she was coming on to me. We were dancing and I got horny. Hey, she was asking for it, she had on a tight bathrobe." I'll say, "Jesus Christ, be a little fucking selective next time will you?"

Now, speaking of rape, do you know what I wonder? I wonder is there more rape at the equator or the north pole. These are the kind of things I think about when I'm sitting home alone and the power goes out. I wonder is there more rape at the equator or the north pole. I mean per capita, I know the populations are different. Most people think it's the equator, I think it's the north pole. People think it's the equator because it's hot down there, they don't wear a lot of clothing, guys can see women's tits, they get horny and there's a lot of fucking going on. That's exactly why there's less rape at the equator. Because there's a lot of fucking going on! You can tell there's a lot of fucking at the equator, take a look at the population figures. Billions of people live near the equator. How many Eskimos do we have? Thirty? Thirty five? No one's getting laid at the north pole, it's too fucking cold! Guys say to their wives, "Hey, tonight honey, huh, tonight, huh?" "Are you crazy? The wind chill factor is three hundred below!" These guys are deprived. They're horny. They're pent up. Every now and then they bust out, they got to rape somebody. Now, the biggest problem an Eskimo rapist has: trying to get wet leather leggings off a woman who's kicking. Did you ever try to get leather pants off of someone who doesn't want to take them off? You would lose your hard-on in the process. Up at the north pole, your dick would shrivel up like a stack of dimes! That's another thing I wonder. I wonder, does a rapist have a hard-on when he leaves the house in the morning, or does he develop it during the day while he's walking around looking for somebody. These are the kind of thoughts that kept me out of the really good schools.

Maybe you don't see it the way other people do. My mother always told me to "dress upon occasion" and "not to bitch when you're the center of attention because you want to flaunt your body." Its different for men than it is for women and is seen more socially acceptable for men to go shirtless. I assume if breasts were just breasts and not a "private" area it would be okay for a woman to go around walking shirtless as well.

Common sense: Scantily clad people will get a rapists attention. Breasts, butts, legs, and many other parts of the body arouse men. When these body parts are accentuated they will get a rapists attention.

Common sense: Having the rapists attention, and turning him on with your accentuation will make you a bigger target.

Just because there are no statistics about this does not make it a mystery, or untrue. There are no conclusions that need leaping to, it's all common sense.

Until you've been raped, or know someone very close to you that has been raped, you cannot possibly have an opinion.

I personally think that rapist's (and I use that term as an umbrella term; Paedos, sex offenders etc) should suffer the mental torment that their victims do. Send them to the darkest parts of war, let them get PTSD and live as total shells of their former pathetic existances.

Feel free to berate my opinion but it's my opinion and I think anything contrary to this, is wrong.

Nope.

@previous (Killer Lettuce !!iNo3FkiZx)
Imprisonment is fine as long as it's not punishment for punishment's sake, but it instead helps to reform them such that they never rape again.

I'm not sure about the reforming part, it hardly ever seems to work.

They have decided to commit rape, which is terrible, so they do deserve a fitting punishment, which in the case of our legal systems would be a huge jail sentence.

Sorry, but that's my stance on the matter. Why should these 'people' get to live a normal life after prison when their actions have given a life sentence to the victim?

To be fair, it'd be hard to maintain a more light-handed approach if it affected you personally, but I can see your logic.

Speaking as someone who hasn't been affected in any way, I'd still advocate harsh punishments. Rapists are not good people.

What's the recidivism rate for rapists who had undergone some reforming in prison?

> They have decided to commit rape, which is terrible,
Agreed.

> so they do deserve a fitting punishment
No. Punishment for the sake of punishment is barbaric and ineffective. Punishment should be used in order to help make society better as a whole, rather than abusing a criminal who will eventually be let back out into the public with no future and no money and contempt for the society he's re-entering.

Are you just asking this question rhetorically, or would you actually consider my answer? So far it seems like you're dismissing my arguments solely on the basis that I haven't known anyone who has been raped, which is silly. My arguments stand or fall on their own merits; they don't become inherently true or false based on whether I have intimate personal knowledge of the issue.

In general I'd agree with this to some extent. That 'contempt' you speak of seems to suggest that there is no reason anymore for them to not commit further crimes, and that seems to be a rather unpleasant and yet self-perpetuating problem. The problem exists though that if you don't nail the criminal to a cross, you're going to allow their original crimes to continue. It seems like society in general is hard-pressed to find some sort of middle ground.

They shouldn't get light sentences either. If they're gone easy on, a good number of them will try it again.

I'm guessing from your reply that the recidivism rate of rapists who have undergone reforming is favourable. I'll concede that some reforming can be applied, but it won't work in all cases.

Rapists who exit prison and are pissy at society have only themselves to blame. They raped, they incurred the rightful long sentence, and if they don't feel that they should try to contribute and improve and just end up commuting another crime, then that's their fault.

The punishment for rape is very severe today, and yet rape happens all the time. Giving harsh punishments in no way guarantees that people will avoid doing an action. Most rapes are not the result of rational thinking. No rapist says "I'm going to rape this girl, but I've calculated that my enjoyment of this act will outweigh the negative consequences of a long prison sentence." Rape is irrational and instinctual, so no amount of punishment will prevent it from happening.

Indeed. Then again, most assume that they won't be caught or reprimanded for their actions anyway.

In that case, people who rape should be given a second chance because, contrary to your beliefs, rapists are still people, and they deserve a second chance. Yes their victims may never have a second chance, but if it's wrong for the rapist to ruin someone else's life, it's wrong for us to ruin his life. Two wrongs don't make a right.

@71,002 (Killer Lettuce !!iNo3FkiZx)
> I'll concede that some reforming can be applied, but it won't work in all cases.
It certainly should be tried in all cases, but if it doesn't work, the situation gets tricker.

> Rapists who exit prison and are pissy at society have only themselves to blame
Why? What if a rapist was mistreated by society? What if he was abused at home, or received a poor education, or was raped by a priest or any number of things? None of that excuses the rape or makes it less evil, but every time someone rapes, society has failed, and we ought to own up to that fact, and stop blaming the rapist solely.

> Until you've been raped, or know someone very close to you that has been raped, you cannot possibly have an opinion.
The victim did not chose to be raped, the rapist chose the victim, so it would give someone a better picture if they were a rapist or knew one personally.

However anyone can have an opinon on anything. Chances are you are neither a Nazi or a Jew, and yet it is perfectly acceptable to have an opinion of the holocaust, isn't it? You odn't need to be involved in order to discuss something, in fact, it gives you objectivity if you weren't involved and allows you to have a less biased opinion.
> I personally think that rapist's (and I use that term as an umbrella term; Paedos, sex offenders etc) should suffer the mental torment that their victims do. Send them to the darkest parts of war, let them get PTSD and live as total shells of their former pathetic existances.
That is a completely useless scenario. It does not reverse the rape, it doesn't make anyone safer, in the end it just satisfies a blood lust. A complete waste of time, and meaningless suffering. Lock them up, don't bother going out of your way to make them happy, but don't use cruel and unusual punishment.

My point was merely to envoke PTSD as that is essentially what rape victims suffer from and that was the only example I could think of that would seem appropriate.

I'll restate my point: that accomplishes nothing. It's a waste of time, and no good comes of it.
