I love it. It's a great series of games, with a compelling setting, deep lore and solid gameplay. And the writing is fantastic

No it hasn't. The characters are always compelling, and the stories always have weight to them. The character interactions alone are great, not to mention some of the stuff in the main storyline.
For me, a recent highlight has been (spoiler for Dragon Age Inquisition ahead) the attack on Haven in Dragon Age Inquisition. You're there celebrating with your allies, and then the main villain is introduced by having his army of fanatics come after you.. Definitely biggest emotional Impact a video game has had on me this year.
