Sweet wines and dessert wines are nothing new. Barefoot is a brand produced in one of California's cheap wine counties (Modesto or Mendocino) and is a bottom-shelf Gallo wine. That they would produce a cloyingly sweet fruity and sugary red is really no big surprise. Barefoot is maybe a step up from two-buck chuck. Meta drinks Franzia from a box, so this site isn't exactly full of wine afficiandos. (Although, as an accomplished lush, I have to say whatever it takes to get you there is all that you need. I'm drinking shit-tier gin right now. I'm not judging anyone.)

How does one fine-tune a Becky detector? That would be useful information.

It differs by make and model, but usually you can just hook it up to the IRC and hit a 'calibrate' button on the unit.
