AT was at one point far more active than MC or TC. Hits don't matter, though. You could buy a botnet and point it at your website and get a trillion hits. What matters is: will the people who do visit click on those ads and then buy things. All else is bullshit. If the increased sales volume from advertising on your site is not greater than the amount spent on ads, you will not have advertisers.

Not exactly accurate I do not mean Google AdSense. Google n Bing and others do pay for a click on the PAID for Ads So the trick is to be popular enough and have Ads that will pay just for a click on the site to LookC at wot you have to offer. No buy just click - Google of course gets 50Cents to $2.00 per click which is huge income -
There is a web site OP is familiar with but currently he is banned from use. The gal who owns n runs it makes or at least used to make $400/month form her ad revenue with the paid to click deal. Her traffic is almost dead now so betting that income is almost kaput - Given I own stock in Google I also tend to just click on a few ads here n there to help out myself and do wonder how many others who own Google stock play that game.

You also get paid for impressions (views), but more for clicks. However what really matters in the chanosphere is: How many malicious users are there that want to fuck you? These users will start excessively clicking your ads, causing unusual behavior. Google will generally respond by disabling your account and locking away your unpaid earnings.

Generally yes. It does vary from country to country, but adsense is fine in NL. You may be able to negotiate better deals locally, no idea. Depends on how relevant the ads you find will be I guess, and how compelled your users will be to click.
