He voluntarily stepped down and handed it all over to me some time ago, and is not really involved anymore currently. He used to take care of the servers and bills. I'm now doing both of that. Costs are like $12/year for the domain and it's running on a server I would be paying for anyway.

Domains are not expensive. https://www.namecheap.com/domains/registration.aspx

The server is more, but still cheap. I didn't list the price there because I'd be paying for it anyway thus it's not really a minichan cost atm, but it's ~$3/month. That is very cheap however and I got lucky with that server, most servers of this quality would be more like $9/month

I was an anon on TC, never used a name. Same for sim I think. I still post anon most of the time now. We met in one of the irc channels either dedicated to development of ATBBS or messing with kimmo. Not sure which one it was, but that's where I picked up my interest in devving ATBBS and we eventually got to talking.
