Its odd, he's 19 and they refer to him as a teenager. Wtf??

He still is one, technically. He is nineteen. Though I suppose you're thinking more that he's now legally an adult.

Teenager sounds more innocent and it's technically correct

KL is very dependent on his computer and the internet, in particular YouTube, for social communication.

Yes, He doesn't get out much. I would be shocked to find he had any real friends.

How are posting from the hospital or are you a ghost?

@518,091 (ShitArse !saAqdaazn2) > taking a full day to follow up the troll thread
ShitArse- we need to talk. You have gotten seriously lazy. If you had followed up with that zinger while the iron was still hot, I might have been completely emotionally devastated! But as is, I am barely moved by your barb.
You used to care about your performance, man. :-/

If somebody was entirely dependant on the YouTube comment section for socialisation... I can see why things might not end well.

Oh, I'm not at the hospital. I just moved to a different loop to get treatment, and they do things a little differently in this one.

Ah... well I'm glad you're on the mend. How did you survive being hit by a train anyhow?
Get well soon, bud.

The trick is to play dead. The train gets confused and won't attack with full force.

But KL lived... so it has a happy ending. Now he will train to become a killing machine and execute shitarse for cyberbullying and everything will be right in the world once more.

indeed, these kinds of stories are pretty sad. that's why i talked to my brother about it years ago and so internet communication and the type of bullying that can be found there is a topic that he's discussed with his kids and i've talked to them about. They understand (i hope) that turning off the computer and going outside is the solution, and the both seem to be careful about sharing too much of themselves over virtual channels. his older son is pretty savvy these days and knows how to protect his anonymity and not share personal information outside of his closest circles.
i also taught him about memes and explained how copy pasta works, why people use it, how to recognize it, and why to ignore it. so hopefully if he's ever told to "go drink a bottle of domestos" he won't consider doing anything remotely like that.
it's like talking about sex with your kids, or talking about stangers and "bad touches." parents need to sit their kids down and explain to them about trolls and "bad touches" on the internet. But, it's all so new and people can be oblivious to how culture works so i'm sure most parents don't even recognize there's a new "talk" they need to have with their kids. and it's... getting them hurt just like not discussing sex with them is not helping to keep them from getting pregnant.
but, even if Gen X doesn't "get it" the millenials will, and they'll understand that when they have kids their kids will get this talk about bullying, trolling, and anonymity.
