Alright, alright.... its not as bad as i am saying it is, in fact there is no dog poop and they are not coming after 4 hours but instead after 2 days. Its just that i don't understand how much of a lazy fuck i am. Where did i go so incredibly wrong to the point that i no longer care to live in a enviroement that a human being is supposed to live in? When did i not care about living next to filth?

Approach it in small steps. Get out a couple garbage bags. Throw out stuff. Do the dishes. Sweep then mop the floor. Clean the bathroom. You can spread it out over several hours so you don't feel like you have to do it all at once, or you can do it all at once and get it over with. Whatever makes you more willing to do it.

get a maid. once a month. have a bunch of trashbags ready to go and pay them to pick up trash and scrub up grime. after the big work is done all you have to do is straighten up and vaccuum. don't bother with that whole "clean before the maids come."
and if you're embarrassed tell them "this is my brothers place and while he's in rehab i'm cleaning his place for him," or something like that. then just watch tv while they clean.
