They knocked my laptop on the floor and broke it. Now I am using a years and years old Toshiba craptop. Damn cats.

Obviously not taking enough cat videos and posting them online is the problem here. The Internet fucking runs on cat videos. Dude... Your cats were probably just trying to figure out how to make cat videos but failing because they have paws and no attention span.

One of my cats knocked over my laptop but it survived apart from a btc miner and a usb drive. Oh well.

I've had quite a few close calls with USB drives, but so far I've been lucky. The only thing that's actually been broken was a USB CF card reader.

Lucky. I was surprised the laptop has survived as long as it has. I'm sure I could of salvaged the flash drive but it wasn't worth it and I sold the miner on ebay at about half of it's cost so not a huge loss. I've also lost a sigma lens to the same cat. Fortunately there was a market for broken stuff on ebay here as well.
The real takeaway from this is that both tile floors and cats are the devil.

The worst laptop incident I had wasn't cat related. I left my laptop on the top of my car after arriving at a friends house after class, drove off after we bs'd a bit, heard something shift on the top of the car, not realizing what I'd done in my stoned stupor, then seeing it get ran over in the rear view mirror. That was a lost cause but I still picked up the pieces. RIP toshiba satellite.

Well, I have to replace the hard drive and the motherboard. Even so, it costs the equivalent of about $50.
