I use Waterfox, and I find it quite fast: it is 64-bit after all.

All things considered and weighed up Waterfox is a good choice. Try it, it takes seconds to set up and you need not delete your current search engine. Equally it is easy to delete if you don't get on with it..

Only if you want to run it under Wine or in a VM, but I'm guessing that will really kill any minor speed/memory/loading benefits Waterfox might offer. The code is up on SourceForge though, so if you feel like you need a project...
