Theyre lighter than books, you can fit 100s of books on one, and as long as you're not a fucking retard and think "Oohh kindle fire has the name kindle in it, so that is an ereader right?!" then the answer is: Yes! Get an ereader with an eink screen and you will have a better experience. Get a Kindle Fire (Read: Android Tablet with a screen that'll blast light at your eyes) then you're fucking retarded, need to die and have no right to participate in this discussion. (A lot of people seem to get Kindle Fires and expect to get an ereader experience, then complain when their tablet isn't a good ereader)

Nope! It's a fucking android tablet, just like any other android tablet, with a regular fucking touch screen and zero e-ink capabilities. It is about as close to an ereader as the ipad is (not at all). It has no Google Play apps and instead only has Amazon's own market and kindle app. You can root them to install the Google Play apps (and market), but you're never gonna turn it into a proper ereader.

I like the feel of books, and the fact that they can get a bit wet without being ruined. Also, I can usually find used
paper books cheaper than kindle books, even when factoring in shipping.
A plus side of kindle books is that you can receive them instantly, and they sometimes offer English editions that are not available in paper form. Such as the book written by Natascha Kampusch's father.

Objectively, Kindles are more convenient. Saves space, is more portable, can download books straight away.
But, on the other hand, I just prefer the experience of a real book (or comic book, these days). I like having a real book to flip through, and a collection I can see.

I transistion between them. I love physical a lot, but when I am doing review books, I tend to lean more toward digital since its easier for the publisher at times.
While kindle is convenient for books I am questionable about and makes my room less... like a library with little room... I love the touch, the feel and the smell of books.
