I can't think of any stocks that have performed as well in the same time span (maybe Tesla). Between this and Bitcoin we could all have been rich. The life is sad.

that's more than a doubling, but you'd have to invest a lot for a simple doubling to make you rich. unless the stock has split a few times? that'd be some serious cash there. but still, i have a brother that does a lot of investing and his opinion is that personal investments are "a game" and that you can make some money but few people are lucky enough to find an investment on the market that makes you rich off of a modest initial investment.
had i bought into netflicks with even a large amount, like 100g, then probably i'd sell and roll profits into something out performing it, of course you'd never want a single investment like that you'd want a balanced portfolio with many investments that offest any losses.
it's easy to invest and lose, and easy to invest and gain, but what's hard is to maintain a small + gain over time that accumulates as a profits.
so don't worry, getting rich is for investment firms that can earn millions off of many, many more millions. for everyone else it's a game, like a lottery, that very few individuals win.

Agree on both points. Real estate is an awesome way to make money if you're handy willing to put in the work and you make wise purchases.
