So I tried some of this today. I tried "very vanilla" and chocolate. The vanilla tasted bad, it tasted like something bad with a flavor of almonds and sugar to try to mask the bad taste. I then tried chocolate, which tasted better but still bad.
For regular milk chocolate and strawberry milk is damn good, but soy milk tastes bad.
I then tasted tofu which reminded me of cottage cheese, but unlike cottage cheese, tofu tasted bad. (I like cottage cheese for those who don't.) I once had tofu turkey a long time ago, which tasted rather good and like turkey.

> I once had tofu turkey a long time ago, which tasted rather good and like turkey.There is a whole line of veggie deli meats that is pretty decent. It's mostly tofu or vegetable protein molded and flavored as turkey, ham, or bologna. The taste isn't perfect, but it can be pretty close.
Protip: If you ever feel the urge to try vegan "cheese" don't -just don't.

It is gross. Don't drink it unless you have to. After a while you will start to tolerate and then enjoy it. When that happens you should kill yourself.

I am a fan on occasion of tofu as cooked in Chinese dishes. The silken style steamed with fermented black soy beans is one example and usually its best with minced pork [Mapo Dofu]
