Topic: Posters who make and eat their own yogurt.

So, I make my own yogurt. It has two live, active bacterial pro-biotic cultures. I really eat alot of it: several cups at a time, every day. I feel like it makes me bloated after I eat it. Is this because I eat too much of it, or because the bacteria just naturally do that? Thank you.

your yoghurt probably has some kind of yeast or mould in it, which is producing gas and making you feel bloated after eating lots of it. Did you make it in a sanitary way? Did you keep it in a sanitary way? Were your ingredients high quality? Are you keeping it refridgerated suitably?

try fermenting it for longer, there might still be lactose in it which the bacteria haven't eaten
