Why not just say that anyone not literally, directly involved with the events in Ferguson is not entitled to have any kind of opinion.

sure they can. Kids think they are somehow protected by being kids, but they don't understand that their being a kid doesn't protect them from also being stupid. There was a 12 yr old kid gunned down by a cop and that kid was waiving around an airsoft gun with the orange "i'm a toy" parts removed. He was pulling it in and out of his pants "gangster style" and a cop ended up shooting him.

I will agree that most stupid children are to blame on their parents, who let's their kids have toy guns that look like real guns? fucking idiots that's who. Who let's their kids grow up emulating gangbangers and rape culture? oblivious assholes, yup.

But still, being young is no shield against dying tragically due to someone else's misinterpretation of your actions. so... don't do stupid shit. Thanks.

And why not ask him nicely with words a few more times first? Sometimes things escalate to guns, and that's why you don't fuck with the people we charge with carrying them and making the decision to use them.

the cops aren't just some inherent force of the universe out there shooting up kids, we put them there and ask them to do this shit and then we want to castrate them for doing what we ask? We ask them to put their lives and their families future on the line and you're going to say he's required to use less force than he deems necessary to return home to HIS children that night? Nope. You don't get to make that call for him.

Maybe you think he should "try raising his voice to a loud yell and speak in a stern voice" as a necessary requirement before progressing to phase 8 the statement to the suspect that a non-lethal whistle will be deployed and if he still refuses to comply the whistle will be used.
i mean really, how many things do you think he's gotta try before he can reach for the defensive weapon he believes is required to save his life?

And really, he's a cop, not a fucking criminal murderer. If he thought fucking pepper spray would have stopped him he wouldn't have fucking shot him 6 fucking times.

squeegee triple-posted this 12 years ago, 14 minutes later, 3 hours after the original post[^] [v] #512,793

also, fundamentally blacks are distrustful of police and it shows in their children. When a cop tells a white teen to move along that kid moves along, but when a cop tells a black teen to move along the kid says, "why?" Black kids are taught to be mistrustful of authority and to be argumentative. Cops then are caught instead of enforcing the law attempting to justify it, and standing in the street arguing with someone as to why they are now required to lay on the ground with their hands behind their head is not something cops do. THAT is for lawyers and judges to decide after the fact. What COPS do is put a fist into your gut and force you to the ground or just shoot you if you give them even the slightest reason to think they need to.

What blacks need to do is have a serious dialog with their children about how to properly behave towards authority figures. there is a reason why less white kids get shot by cops than black kids. and it IS behavioral, and it needs to be addressed.

because if this was just all racist cops gunning down black babies then we wouldn't see so many Travon Martins and Michael Browns and Tamir Rice's

Exactly, the cop was tried by the media who just wanted to stir up a race war.

The media also never mentioned in another case that George Zimmerman had a black great grandfather, a black childhood friend and business partner, he did charity work for minority kids, and a quarter of the people in his gated area that Trayvon jumped the fence to were black.

Before video cameras, courts used eyewitnesses exclusively. Terrible!

I was in court once and the other side brought in a witness. The witness lied about what I said to them a long time ago and I corrected it. But then the other side brought the same witness to tell not just the same lie but to embellish it.

No because they were trying to make a political statement. I don't recall any times in the last several decades where white people rioted and then targetted a certain ethnic group to kill. Blacks have always done that with riots. LA riots, London riots, Ferguson riots, etc. White people used to do race riots, called a pogrom.

Once again, the blacks get all uppity when one gets shot by a white. I'd just like to see once, just once, a single protest or outrage when a black gets killed by another black.

Protests, outrage, demonstrations, demanding change and wanting the killer to go to trial, when a black kills another black. Only then will white people listen to them, until that happens it's just a reason for blacks to go and loot and burn their own community.

My point is if all black lives mattered and not just those of the likes of Trayvon and Brown because they were shot by whites, then there would be protests and outrage and looting when a black is killed by another black. That doesn't happen, blacks should be outraged by the killing not by who does the killing. More blacks are killed by other blacks than any other race.

Black cops are still cops and are liable to make the same mistakes white cops do. There was a movement starting before the identity of Darren Wilson was even revealed. But its usually white cops. And when it's white cops, you can be sure that it's indicative of an underlying issue ie racism and routine dehumanization of black bodies

It's not just about Michael Brown
it feels disrepectful to say but his death was a catalyst
It's not one mans death that gives the movement meaning it's the context and the same scenario plays out over and over but you will continue to defer blame to black people without cause no matter what the circumstances are and jump to delegitimize the movement with your 'race card' bullshit

Michael Brown Was
High on Pot and Carrying a Bag of It
Cybercast News Service, by Barbara Hollingsworth

Original Article

11/25/2014 2:16:54 PM

Michael Brown had THC, a behavior-altering substance found in marijuana, in his system when he was killed on August 9th by Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson, according to a toxicology report performed at a St. Louis University lab. The toxicology screen, which was done on Aug. 10th, found “12 nanograms/ML of Delta-9-THC”, the primary psychoactive ingredient in pot, in Brown’s bloodstream at the time of his death. This amount of Delta-9-THC in Brown´s blood was more than twice the amount that in Washington State-where marijuana is legal-would allow someone to be arrested for driving under the influence.

> since when do cops have roadside tests for thc blood levels?????????

Cop did not do such test. He was arrested/detained for the Cigar theft as radioed by police dispatch.
Coroner drew blood and sent off to lab. Do you need a link for that?

> since when does pot make people violent

Given we have a few Dutch people here (the ones who wear the wooden shoes) Look at this study in Holland
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002699216

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- A Dutch study on the effects of marijuana use on teenagers suggests a connection with aggressive behavior.

The BBC reports researchers at the Trimbos Institute in the Netherlands found 17 percent of the 5,551 12 to 16-year-olds questioned had used marijuana within the past year. The study found the higher the frequency and amount of marijuana use, the more aggressive behavior the teenager showed.

A recent study by the British Journal of Psychiatry found similar results.

A 2005 report by the Schools Health Education Unit in Britain found 25 percent of 14- and 15-year-olds smoked pot.

Now please look for that Video of Brown in the Liquor store aggressively pushing aside a person as he escapes with his ill gotten loot (Cigars) and this is with all that pot in his blood stream

The obvious thing to do, is to bum rush a cop and go for his weapon if this is true. Hilarity will surely ensue.

Been working wayyyy to hard so only 2nite did I view the cops ABC TV interview. I am surprised the cop held back blowing the kids head off in the car.
Whats so funny is so many of the witnesses end up before the Grand Jury and then end up admitting they lied or embellished or did not even see the event and heard about it from a friend. Then that friend heard about it from someone else. 3 Black eye witnesses back up the cops story. No arms in air walking away -

Cop describes the kid as powerful strong -

that's the problem, it isn't being further pursued in the courts

interestingly enough the city of dallas is being sued becuase a cop was indicted for killing an unarmed black kid in a car. she's actually in jail. pretty sure it was deemed a degree of murder.

anyway, bet no one has heard about that.cops killing blacks only matters if the cops aren't found guilty, or, i.e. it only matters if families are told, "um, no, he was actually engaged in violent criminal behavior, he wasn't a "good kid," he got what he deserved."

blacks don't like having a flashlight shined on their culture of violence, theft and murder is all. they want to point fingers and say "nuh-uh, it's you whites that are the problem."

> At some times, violence is justified.

lolol, okay, you know that right now Dr. Martin Luther King is hanging his head is absolute and total shame. he would be fucking horrified if he was still alive. The kid's Step Father stood up in front of the crowd gathered before him and yelled, "Burn this bitch down."

what a fucking embarrassment for the entire black movement. The biggest casualty in all this is the credibility of their entire fucking cause. It is not us you unbelievable dicks, it is a problem that stems from your own community outwardly. The violence and deaths are of your own making!

Violence is justified... Stop enabling them! Just stop it@! If Martin Luter King was alive today he'd be like this

also the whole idea behind nonviolent protest as advocated by people like Gandhi and Martin Luther King is that you can accomplish more with nonviolent protest than you can with violence. violence gets you nothing but pushback. And, so, when the "authority" uses force to silence you all the pushback knocks them over.

does that make sense? or do you think burning down Mom and Pop small businesses is a better way to handle your problems?

He wasn't arrested or detained idiot he was shot in the street for walking in the street

no, actually he was asked to walk on the sidewalk because he was walking in the street. He was shot because he was violently assaulting a police officer who felt his life was being endangered when the dude wrestled for his pistol.

So, he was shot in the street for assault and attempted murder, not for walking in the street
