It adds tabs to windows explorer so it behaves more like a browser. You might like it if you move files around a lot. It took a bit to get used to, but it beats having a bunch of explorer windows open.

I see absolutely no way how that will wreck your explorer when something goes wrong.

The default Ubuntu one (used to be Nautilus, now they have one called "Files") has had this by default for a while, now. You can even move the tabs around. Surprised Windows still doesn't have this.
On second thought, Clover and Windows Explorer actually looks a lot nicer.

I sure hope so, it's nice and it seems almost essential when you get used to it. A good comparison is internet browsers before tabs, it sucked.

Ultimately I trust your judgment. I'll uninstall. Maybe I can find an alternative.

It's totally up to you what you do, I have no evidence that this software cannot be trusted. Personally I don't though!

Also I'm probably just being unreasonably paranoid

And if it is in fact evil spyware then uninstalling it won't do much good :P

In my experience it pays to be paranoid. I heard about the program in some long forgotten Reddit thread. I haven't detected any suspicious activity, but it's better safe than sorry. I reformat fairly often, so it'll be cleaned up next go around.

Looking at it a bit more they do apparently have legit reviews from softpedia, but I have no idea how thorough they are and I don't know the other services listed there.
