Hai guys! Ok, here's how I beat the Giant Pigman in the Undermine.
Okay, so, the Room he is in is HUGE, so bring lots of gravel with you. I couldn't beat him in a straight up fight, even fully diamond equipped, instead i had to use the lava. What you do is mine a path directly over the room, so you'd be coming at him through the ceiling. Position yourself directly above his platform, open a hole, then start to drop down gravel, He can jump 3 blocks high, so it's best to take it nearly to the ceiling. After you finish filling in that "hole," move to the next spot and drop gravel just as before, slowly inching him to the edge of the platform.
After you have narrowed his platform down and he is right on the edge of the lava, you can proceed to the next phase, as any gravel you drop directly onto him is destroyed.
Enter his room the normal route (or any way really, now it doesn't matter) and you can begin using eggs and or snowballs to knock Giant Pigman into the lava, which sets him on fire and makes arrows work twice as well. He will not attack you with his snot while he is hopping out of the lava, which means you have a few seconds of safety each time. Do this until he is dead (i know, the health regen is way high, but eventually you'll get him) and then enjoy the contents of his chest!

(oh, wolves are pretty ineffective anyway with all the lava around. Maybe they'd work with another strat, but this one is straight up gravel, arrows, and snowballs.)
