Here's why I'm disappointed: you started a thread about welfare vs. warfare spending which is fantastic -- a topic I and most other posters have strong opinions about. An original, non shtick thread which is exactly what we want to see from you. So then Syntax makes a comment about Section 8, which is a welfare program and is somewhat on topic. Then you take the trollbait and drag up all this boring old 20 year ten myle stalking shit which no one here cares about. You completely derailed and shat up what could have been a nice thread.
If you really do care, then stop this 20 year pissing contest with Syntax, or at least take it to another forum.

Matt has some good qualities, but you're right, I don't think he'll ever be able to control himself for more than a few days. I miss the days when we all liked Depressionman, it was fun. Giving Matt more chances seems like the right thing to do, even if it does lead to disappointment every time. We all know we can't trust him, and if we remember that he's basically harmless. Syntax is pretty okay without Matt involved, I know not everyone enjoys his long posts and such, but he does contribute and he's become a part of the community. Sometimes being nice is just that, even if you know you're gonna be let down or whatever. If you expect returns you're being nice for the wrong reasons, that's my thoughts on it anyhow. As long as Matt's impulses are kept somewhat in check it's not that bad, he just needs a little guidance here and there.

In my experience that's fairly common practice (especially in the Chanosphere) , curiosity is a powerful force in human nature. In other words, I strongly doubt Syntax is the only one who does that. I'm not sure that researching people just because you can is all that common, even on chans. Obviously it'll happen if the person in question has made enemies or is otherwise of interest, but I doubt that "normal" channers look into everyone they encounter.

This investigating reporter has only investigated just one MC poster. Nor has any TC or SC "only" member fallen under need to be investigated either. Minor exception OK Major exception has of course been with one who is currently TOASTED in Asia and that was at the push/press/ of several members at SC and members and former owner of TC ("Link I") - All that did was get one untrustworthy arm of the law watching him nor do I have a clue if it did any good. I totally respect the system and each time I respect it even more then before
OK See ya all in 10( 11) days - I once just once almost got on a jury with trial that lasted 6 full months, with judge overturning the 6 month decision and jury being scolded for the worst decision ever in the history of the judges experience - ALMOST because at the last minute after Me and the full panel were told we were accepted, I held up my hand and said wait one minute please I think I made a mistrake on one answer - Both sides and Judge did not want to hear from me so I stood up and did it again - Case was a nurse fired by the hospital and she had filed a slander suit after she was fired.
I SMELLED A RAT when they sat the panel down for a full explanation about what the trial was going to be all about - with both sides telling us there side and no judge present - and had been through a lot of prospective jury members several days in a row - So I just knew I had to get out of that Jury - I just said out loud - Hey I was born in that hospital - Both sides got mad at me but I was told I could go home - 6 months later while driving my car with radio on the news - I get to hear about this worst jury decision ever - Felt real good to have split from that gig.
See ya all in 11 days unless PM says... we thought it over and perhaps a longer vacation is in order - Mods Admin its your choice and best I offer it up as your choice... so it makes it easier for you all to maintain a good over all balance for the membership at large.
