Friday starts off on the slow side, but a new round of WNW-NW energy (285-300) will move in and overlap the already present mix of fading WNW-NW swell and background S-SW Southern Hemi Pulses. We still have to deal with a fat mid-morning tide, but if you can find the right spot, or somehow skirt around the tide peak, you can expect the surf to hang in the knee-chest high range for most of the average spots while the standouts see waist-shoulder high surf.
