Topic: How do I stop clicking on clickbait?

Every time I see an obvious clickbait headline, I KNOW I should just avoid clicking it. But then I can't help myself, and I end up regretting it. I have lost a lot of self-respect this way. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Yeah I get what you mean, but that is the whole point. The headlines are interesting because the actual content of the article isn't. I have almost clicked on a bunch of them but I always stop myself because I know I'll be disappointed and also by clicking on them I am encouraging them to write more by giving them ad money and I HATE this trend in "journalism". As a solution you could buy a taser and shock yourself every time you click on one until you stop or need a new battery.

Bet on occasion you go shopping in market? Those magazines like Enquirer. Front page loaded with fun headlines. Do you bother to waste tyme in disappoit on open up to content? Bet you smart nuff to not.
Daily Mirror was great for headline laffs - NEVER open that rag for content.
So yes enjoy the headline but nooo noooo look at content. I am sorry to add this here and trust me on this ...It has no business in this thread so its hover over and at your risk
