There is no initiation to become a Hindu. You don't need to be baptized or anything of the sort. Find the nearest Hindu Temple using Google maps, and go there and talk with one of the priests. He should be able to help.
If you're more serious about this and not just dabbling, learn Hindi or Sanskrit. It is a prerequisite to being a serious Hindu. It sounds brash, but if I met a kid who said he was Hindu, and if he said he didn't know Hindi or Sanskrit, I would tell him he was wasting his time. Knowing Hindi or Sanskrit helps a person understand the meaning of prayers and shlokas. Hindu priests also give discourses in Hindi, so if you want to understand what they are saying, you should know the Hindi language.
What are you interested in? Hinduism 101 or AP Hinduism?
(I assume you went to school in the US and know what AP means. If you're from the British system, it would be Intro to Hinduism versus IB Hinduism)

This appears to be a Magic the Gathering character. Hinduism is not to be confused with paganism. According to Essentials of Hinduism, by Swami Bhaskarananda, the best introduction of Hinduism I have ever read, Hinduism is polymorphic: one God, many forms.

I have never heard of a Hindu God taking the particular form you are referring to, but this a good question. This gets very technical. If God is everywhere according to a religion, and you worship a form not sanctioned by that religion, can you still be religious according to that religion?
