This is a Hindu funeral. Some guy's mom passed away.

Yes! My dad said I could go. I am so excited! I haven't been to a funeral in a long time.

What should I wear? Someone I was friends with at university said a friend of his picked up a girl at a funeral. Sounds like Will Ferrell's character in Wedding Crashers.

I went to the event! I wore a party shirt. It was actually kind of flashy. I'm not sure why my mom suggested it. It did look like a night club shirt. (Obviously, I would never go with you Ricky Gupta.) When I got there, the group of people was around a Hindu priest, reciting Hindu prayers in Sanksrit. I saw the dead body in a casket. He looked like a skinny old Indian man. He had an orange garland around his neck. My mom and I gave condolences to the old man's son and the old man's grandkids. One of the dead man's son came from India for the funeral. I didn't cry. (I didn't cry at my uncle's funeral in 1997 either. My cousin who is 8 months older than me and I were the only ones who didn't cry at that funeral. I saw my father cry at my uncle's funeral.) The priest asked us to throw samagree on the dead man's body 125 times as we recited Hindu mantras in Sanksrit.
The oldest son later poured honey on the dead man's body. Later, we recited some more Hindu prayers. My mom and I later left. My mom told me to take a shower as soon as we got home. She also took a shower and then left.

How? When? Will I look brave, courageous and ultra-masculine upon death? A death scene like that in the Mahabharata is requested.

And when I mean death scene in Mahabharata, I mean someone with a mace, bow and arrow, spear, or sword has to attack and kill me. Guns don't count.

You will fall into a vat of chicken-fried livers after a long night of clubbing with Ricky Gupta.

Definitely not. That is a very unworthy death. There has to be blood around me as my body lays on the battlefield, my eyes looking towards the heavens as the people gather around me, hearing my last orders through gasps of breath. As my eyes glaze over, I can be content that I died a worthy death.

When you mean my death, I hope you're referring to me and not some relative of mine. Don't be jinxing my mom, dad, or little sis. I can face death head on with a look of defiance in my eyes.
