I am not J. Peterman. I don't fit anyone. My hair is too black and my skin is too dark. Some Asian girl asked me in 2003 if I only dated Hindu girls. The word "pretty" does not add any value to your sentence, and you could have eliminated it. You didn't put a comma between "writing" and "and" even though you wrote a compound sentence. Then you failed to put a comma in your second compound sentence. It is you who has "sub-par writing," not me.

Why did you mention Virgin twice? I am not a Virgin. I have had heterosexual sex 5 times. Why is her having short hair relevant? Also, the word and phrase "overflowing" and "boundless energy" are redundant. Her mother can't be "in Gujarati." "Gujarati" is a language or culture. The correct word is "Gujarat," the name of a state in India. The corrected phrase would be "Her mother in Gujarat made it for her..."
You later write about how she is sipping a "virgin Dawa cocktail." Do you have an obsession with the word "virgin"? Your calling the cocktail a "virgin" one misses the point. Calling her drink "virgin" allows for the possibility that she drinks alcohol on other occasions. You may even be intimating the possibility of innocence. If she is wearing a hijab and is a devout Muslim, she would never drink alcohol no matter where she is and no matter what she is wearing. Your reader may not be aware of that, and you should probably point that out.
