As for what it's about, I'll give you a basic outline: it takes place in a fictional world where evil monsters control most of the world, and humanity is limited to a few different, separate Kingdoms. The monsters are fought against by trained badasses called Hunters/Huntresses, who have unique special abilities and exotic, crazy weapons. The show follows some students going through a school that trains Hunters, focusing on how they interact with each other and fight against evildoers.

It has some really great fight scenes, and is generally pretty fun. Would recommend trying it.
