Topic: the lego movie is very very deep and philosophical

I'm surprised more people haven't posted about how deep this movie is. I mean, yeah it's a goofy kids movie with silly jokes, and yeah it revisits our childhood with all the imagination involved... but it's also something much more than that. It's philosophical. This movie raises the question about free will and fate and God.

Throughout the movie you see these legos doing pretty much whatever they want and building what they want....or reading the instructions and building what the instructions say...
Then you find out that they are being controlled by a child and his dad.

It really makes you think... What if we are legos being controlled by God...hence "the man upstairs" which is a nickname a lot of people use for God.

In this movie nobody had any idea that they were being controlled by humans. Throughout the entire film the legos thought they built a crazy spaceship without using the instructions but it turned out that the kid built it using his imagination. Pretty much the point I'm trying to get across is that the point of this film is to say that we are just the imagination of "God" who could just be some kid playing with his imagination or his toys (legos) and there's no way we would even realise it.

I love how this movie is directed towards all audiences. Kids enjoy it because it's goofy as hell and adults enjoy it because it brings them back to their childhood. And deep thinkers enjoy it because it questions reality. Trully remarkable film and very original too.

How does this movie have anything to do with God when "The Man Up Stairs" was just a man with a job?
