Amsterdam is such a sweet clean wonderful city to enjoy and all ya need to is take a stroll here there n everywhere. Get out and walk the city. Do not make the mistrake I made. I asked people for directions to the Van Gogh Museum. Everyone there speaks English yet I kept asking about the Van "Go" yet no one had a clue what "Go" meant. You have to say it with a Cough as in Van Cough or Van Kafff

My red light story

First trip to Amsterdam was with a gal who makes music for a living. World class friend and lovely truly a living doll and we have kept it at Friendship for years n years now. So on a tour with her band, we had about one week in between the next gig planned and it was planned as a work break but no one had really made plans on how to spend the free tyme. We had a lay over in Frankfurt Germany after the last concert and people got together to figure out how to spend the free tyme which was also budgeted so as to allow cost of transportation and hotels/food as paid for by the Record company. In other words people were really free withing reason to do what they wanted to do to chill OUT

One person in the Band had an invite to London from Michael Jackson who was about to perform in a major concert - His invite included the entire band and even the roadies - So Everyone EXCEPT the Star in our group my Gal buddy and I decided NOT to join that London show. I looked at a Map and viewed how close Amsterdam was and someone at the hotel said a train trip wood be more better re views of Holland and I said I want to go to see that City and do the Van Gogh museum and the Gal said I want to do that2

Back2 Red Light district - So I wanted to see that as well but I dared NOT suggest it to the Lady - She however suggested we walk in2 and by and she carried her camera for pics - Me being smart said when there Let me go up to window and ask if its ok to take pics - YES if paid for at some wacko amount but both of us were invited in for a cup of just super coffee for a chat because of course the working girl recognized my friend and we both ended up joining the working gal as she did a sex show with a partner at some club - Frankly I found it very boring - She as well

There's an outdoor cinema on a rooftop in Peckham. It's got good views of London at dusk and they give you blankets to wrap yourself up in during the movie so you don't get cold.

It is real. It is how to see a city. Usually, walking around the university districts will give you a feel of the city. Cafes canhelp you meet people.

What exactly are you doing with your tyme?
And museums are more then just about the art. For example sure you can hang inside a bar/pub and meet local people and taste the delights of local brews yet you will meet a far different set of people if you were to walk into a museum. Actually in Paris while in search of a museum and lost on the metro - I asked for help and those three girls changed my life for more better. Ah the memories/mammaries/
