I am against it in a university. I am all for high-quality business schools that are just as good as universities. But I think universities should stick to Science and Arts.

it's funny the entire education system disagrees that universities are only for educating university profesors. that's also stupidly recursive. talk about a snake eatung it's tail, what's the point? training people to train people to train people. that's pointlessly masturbatory.
also the university route to being a future professor is the least taken route of any university plan. the vast majority of people go to university to earn a professional degree, not to learn to teach others how to pull the ladder up behind themselves.

The education system status quo is inneficient. Universities should be focused on scientific research. People should have other ways of learning a trade rather than going through the trap that is professionalizing universities.

I don't know how it works in the states but a lot of my professors have been successful in their respective fields.
For example my design professor has had here work displayed on billboards, radio and TV to international audiences.
It's not like she doesn't have any real world experience, I doubt she learned how to teach in university.

the vast majority of the professors i had at university were also respected professionals in their chosen fields. Such as my physical anthro prof who worked for 40 years as a forensic anthropologist and has worked every major air disaster since the 70s, including identifying remains at the World Trade Center after the Sept. 11th attacks on New York. that's just one example. Another would be a simple history prof who worked for LBJ back in the day and had quite a career in political back-staging.
not one prof i can think of was a career prof who only knows about his profession academically and has zero real world experience.

Oh wait, english teachers. That's who doesn't need real world experience and only needs academic knowledge of their subject. I had english teachers who only worked at Uni and were never published outside of grad school.
