You're able to post this because of the software I wrote. Also, pics.

this is one of them, the other is identical. they are made from speed rail and will hook up to a future project of undetermined scope. i have an occulus rift on the way and have plans to make a "virtual reality room" in the same vein as a dedicated home theater room. so i'm looking into various motion controllers and the like.
i may build a small cockpit type thing, like a playchair type thing if you know about those. for driving and flying sims, etc.

Lol, nice! Kitchen seems like an odd place for it though. Also it sounds like you have too much money. Let us know how the oculus rift is!

but see how the joystick mount is made to be adjustable? right now i can mount one centermount like in an old fighterjet, or i can adjust it so it sits over the arms of my big comfy easy chair. dual joysticks for space sims. i'm also getting pedals, becuase any self respecting nerd at least has pedals under their desk.
but right now instead of pedals i'm using joystick buttons which makes me have to bind some stuff to voice control. now that is nerdy.

Squeegee obviously wants this badly, so my vote goes to him.

It's obviously me. I've practically got it all. I play video games, read comic books, play Warhammer 40K, am socially awkward IRL. I can debate for hours about things like Skyrim's politics or just why 40K's Sisters of Battle are so great. Plus, I have an interest in an area of science, and can debate about that extensively too.
The only area I lack proficiency in is computer shit, but that's for faux-nerds anyway.

Yeah, but do you play Magic: The Gathering? Are you so awkward you can't stand people watching you eat? Do you have a phobia of people hearing you urinate? Fake Anon does. He is objectively the biggest nerd here, IMHO.

Psh, firstly, 40K is far nerdier than MtG. It has the bigger time commitment, and its deeper lore allows for more reading and more extensive forum debates.
Sure, he may be somewhat socially awkward, but has he forgone IRL friends altogether? No, no he has not.
And lastly, you're conflating odd habits with nerdiness. In truth, Fake Anon's phobia merely makes him weird rather than nerdy.
Fake anon is definitely a good effort at nerdiness. But in truth, he is merely entry-level material.
