Topic: What if this is how the entire Doctor Who franchise ended?

Anonymous A started this discussion 12 years ago #36,214

It ends with a scene which reveals that The Doctor all this time was merely a fragment of a senile old grandfather's imagination. The grandfather also bares resemblance to William Hartnell, the actor who portrayed The First Doctor. He is busy playing with his figurines as a means of escapism as his granddaughter Susan tries to get his attention.

Susan: He doesn't do much anymore besides play with those toys. Grandfather, The Doctor is here to see you!

This startles the old man upon hearing the name "The Doctor".

Grandpa: Yes, Susan, my dear?!

Susan: I said The Doctor is here to see you, Grandfather!

The old man is puzzled before he speaks.

Grandpa: The Doctor? Doctor Who?

Silence falls as the credits roll with no music playing in the background.

Isn't this just a ripoff of another show? I don't know what it was called, but it was about a hospital and it ended by revealing it was an autistic kid's imagination.
