A year on and I'm getting there. Its been pretty hard. I couldn't walk for a while after. Physically I'm getting stronger still. I still have to dea! With some pain now and again.
I was left with some PTSD and was recently diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. So mentally I'm still not there yet. I'm on a waiting list for therapy which should help with those things.
I have a small part time job and I'm getting back to living a real life again. Living without alcohol is hard, but I was a raging alcoholic and have probably drunk enough for several lifetimes. Life is better without it though my weed consumption has gone through the roof.
Thanks for thinking of me, minipals!

It sounds like it could be a lot worse. That was really scary, yeah?

Scary for my family and girlfriend.
Scary for me too as I went psychotic for a week in intensive care. Thought I was in a Nazi hospital being experimented on. They had to time me to the bed because I kept pulling my tubes out and trying to escape.

Damn, that sucks. Is that something that happens to people often, or is it mental illness related?

Intensive care psychosis is quite common, but I have a mental illness too. Also I was withdrawing from alcohol after heavy addiction. The DTs cause psychosis often, that's why you should never cold turkey with alcohol.

Did alcoholism cause the pancreatitis?
