i guess my dose was reasonable since im sober right now and not in a ward.

it really isnt, i take 200mg of dph because its the only amount that will get me to sleep, i dont take them for the shitty hallucinations and the even more boring body high
dph isnt fun recreationally, the hallucinations you get from dph are different from other drug induced hallucinations in the sense that dph produces what are called "true hallucinations"- in my experience the shit that i see is just bizarre and everything is sort of translucent, really not a fan of the spiders though so thats what keeps my eyes closed usually (I wake up a lot at random hours)
people who take dph recreationally aren't fucking stupid because "LOL DPH IS DANGEROUS" its fucking stupid because its just boring, on par with huffing duster to get high.
