I see the opposite in my area. I have found people here saying shit I would never dare say just a few years ago. This feels like a different sort of racism. A resentment towards the blacks who refuse to be civilized or lift a goddamn finger to help in society, while moving out of their shit zones and into ours, like a sort of tumor that must be excised or else the entire Detroit area will fall.

Detroit was doomed when the auto industry pulled out. Think of all the former mining towns (gold, silver, copper etc) that are ghost towns now. It's the same concept only on a larger scale. Blaming the blacks is just scapegoating. All over the world poor areas are dirty and dangerous, race has nothing to do with it. Racism has played a role in keeping blacks poor for a long time though, things are getting better but there's still a lone way to go.
Unless something comes in to Detroit to replace the auto industry (nothing will) Detroit is gonna experience a large downsizing. Surely people more informed and educated than me have already written about this inevitability extensively.

Gold/Silver towns went bust because the the gold and silver ran out. I've got relatives in the appalachian mountains and while they may be dirt poor, I felt no danger at all. Eventually, yes. Though as Kook said, the idea of a "full black" man (or a full white man, for that matter), is a dicey proposition in the great melting pot of America. Of course, intra-racial ethnicity becomes meaningless after a few generations of intermarriage amd assimilation. In fact what is a white? Are Spaniards white? Are Turks? What about Albanians? Historically "white" refers to europeans, with some parts being excluded from the category depending on the time(southern iberians & italians, balkans and slavs et al)
The word "aryan" never meant what it means today(pure bred white people), it was twisted by shithead English antropologues obsessed with this kind of theory. Aryan would be any people descended from the original Indo-European people who were from the southern Russian steppe, including iranians, northern indians, afghans and most europeans. By that definition, the basques, finns, hungarians wouldn't be aryan, despite being overwhelmingly white, while you could say that a pashtun or kurd is aryan, but not white.

I'm open to the idea that I could be wrong, but IME there are less openly racist people today than there was 20 years ago even. I think the fact a half black man was able to be elected POTUS speaks volumes about the state of racism. Does anyone believe that would have been possible in the 60's or 70's? IMO the tide has turned against racism, sexism, and bigotry in general, though all three will likely always exist to some extant and certainly still exist today.
