I tried it for like a day. It was boring as fuck.
I knew two people who were top players on that - they eventually told me just how much GRINDING you have to do in order for it to be even slightly worth playing

I played for a bit. I was a lolpirate. It was alright but it gets really boring, it is the only game I've ever played with a built-in browser for when you get bored.

Don't you spend a good amount of time traveling in that game? I know a few people that love it, but have said unless you start with a good group of people to play with it's hard to get into.

Yeah you do but that isn't what bothered me. The way the skill system works means it'll take you months to get into a fun ship, and the environments are boring.
