As for mixed race, I'd calculate the weighted average of their race. So Elliot Rodger, for example would be half the Asian risk of assault/rape/whatever plus half the white risk, since he was 50/50. So you should be less scared of him than a white man, but more scared of him than an Asian man.

My point, I guess, is that using statistics and saying "x% of y race will commit _ crime" is stupid and leads to prejudice. I would hope she rehabilitates to the point where she can be fostered out. The article doesn't go into much depth about her circumstances just a bunch of "ZOMG THIS MAN IN A DRESS HIT TWO WOMYN HES NOT A REAL WIMYYN HES JUST TRYING TO INVADE WOMYN SPACES TO ASSAULT WOMYN!!!!!!!" over and over again until it all sort of flows together into a Two Minutes Hate against trannies. If Jane Doe is serious about this, receiving hormones and chemical/surgical castration, and not committing any kind of sexual misconduct I don't see why she can't be housed with the women. If she does any kind of sexual assault or perving or even thinking about sexual assault against the women, though, she should be moved to the male facilities. Well okay, but blacks generally associate with more blacks, and whites generally associate with more whites. (I guess we didn't form quite The Perfect Union that we thought was so cool) So this isn't like guessing probability at poker; the people that any one person is likely to know isn't some randomly distributed variable. I'm going to spitball here and say that rape (when reported, which is a whole other issue) is generally a crime that is committed against someone that the rapist knows. (I think the stats back me up here, but I haven't bothered to look up the most recent ones -because reading rape statistics isn't my idea of fun. :/) So we're hitting the same problem. Blacks know and make friends with more black people. Whites know more white people. Rape happens when convenient. :/.

To answer your question: yes. Having more female friends will increase the probability of being raped by one of them, but on the whole you should probably look out for the guys who rape more often.
Statistics is a game of big numbers. You really shouldn't try to calculate your evening against it. You shouldn't imagine your chances of getting home safely while driving drunk or running from the police or anything else in terms of aggregate numbers. They're rough estimates, and your individual circumstance always plays into it. Anyway bp, just be alert, keep your head about you, and keep a look-out for creeps.

To answer your question: yes. Having more female friends will increase the probability of being raped by one of them, but on the whole you should probably look out for the guys who rape more often.
Statistics is a game of big numbers. You really shouldn't try to calculate your evening against it. You shouldn't imagine your chances of getting home safely while driving drunk or running from the police or anything else in terms of aggregate numbers. They're rough estimates, and your individual circumstance always plays into it. Anyway bp, just be alert, keep your head about you, and keep a look-out for creeps.
EDIT: Having re-read this, there is a bit of a blurry line. Do you mean "more likely to be raped by a female in general" or "more likely to raped by a female rather than a male" Because that's sort of the distinction I'm trying to point out. Yes, by having more female friends, you might be at a higher risk of being raped by one of them, but unless you have 1000 female friends to every male friend, then you are probably more likely "in general" of being raped by one of your male friends.
