Topic: Bottled water makes sense.

Why do not more people simply drink water? Well because buying bottled water is seen as stupid by many, stay with me:

You may not agree but in these times it is not only the quality of the ingredients that makes food or drinks taste good, it is their brands. There have been studies of this (so i am told) and it confirms
that many will rate the branded food higher then the non branded food, even if they were eating the very same food both times. This is what for example food chains, restaurants and so on do, they try to
create a certain image that will enhance the taste of the food.

So given how brands can affect our taste, there is no stupidity in buying bottled water instead of buying bottled coke, because if the bottled water has a certain brand that you like, it will undoubtedly
feel and maybe even taste better then some water that comes from a vast underground pipe network under a polluted city.

calm yourself, assbag or dw whatver. We live in a society with money to spend. Water itself must enter the competition for that money, but it can't because its considered stupid even though it is not. Why buy any drink at all when you can just drink tap water? One word, assbad, one word: TASTE, we want the better tasting drink. Given how brands can affect the way we taste drinks and food, you might as well buy bottled water, it will taste better for many.

Don't act like a dumbass and pretend you would always buy the cheaper version of any food, you would buy the more costly food if it would taste better. Simply by branding water, it will taste better. Also you are an assbag.

okay i take that back that was mean. But seriously you guys, tap water and bottled water could even come from the same source and openly so, but even then a simple brand would make it taste better. I am certain of it.

I enjoy my local municipal water department's brand of unlimited water. I think it tastes better and so it does.

Well okay, it works for you this way. But in a sense, we have become sort of what i would call brand whores. And as we prefer more and more to buy only things with some bullshit brand that makes you think everything will be alright, then we will consume less water because of this stigma against buying bottled water

Bottled water is nice because you get a bottle with free water in it.

I never buy water bottles. I have some around from when people bring it but I'm cheap as fuck and I would never buy plain water.

bottled water has it's place. like when you don't have a bottle and need one to hold water. you're paying for the bottle, is all. the water is basically free. there are more costs on the transportation end than the water end, really.

I drink tap water, but then I'm not picky about its taste. I can understand how more discerning people would want better water.
