You're a bit late in pointing it out, but yes the memory of events tends to fade with time. Will 9/11 still be a big deal in 2071? I'll be in my 80s by then: my (hypothetical) kids and grandkids will have no memory of the event. They'll know the date and story from history books, sure, but they won't remember the feeling of it. It will be words and dates from history books and documentaries. Will anyone make topics about the JFK assassination in 2033? In all likelihood, future generations will have their own momentous events, and they will have more or less forgotten ours, just like we've forgotten those of our ancestors.

That is truly pathetic trolling. You already have proved your point. Consider doing as the potato salad dude did

Wanted attention for his $10 bowl of salad and got attention worth a bit more

I don't get why nowadays it's still considered a big deal. You guys are still dropping bombs on other countries, and get upset over a plane hitting one of your structures 10 years ago?

What gets me is that there's a "9/11" in deaths every 36 days on America's roads. Everyone lost their shit and panicked about terrorism, but we're happy to get behind the wheel of a car and drive every day. It makes no sense.

1,000x more Americans have died from cars than terrorism since the invention of the automobile.

It's true that an American is far more likely to die in a car accident than a terrorist attack. However, when I get into a car, I'm making a conscious decision. We have significantly less control/choice when we're killed by an act of terrorism. It's scarier in that sense.
