Manhattan Beach a former play ground of mine year ago. I run every day on wet hard packed sand at my Ocean a Blue and on occasion with bare feet - Have to duck under fishing lines almost every day from Fishermen Fishing wot is called Surf fishing - NEVER once did I think a Fisherman might catch a shark reel it in and then if he gets loose it goes after my underbelly. Everyone around here is talking about it - Not that long ago just 4 minutes on a Beach south of me in Solana Beach 2008 - Great White Killed a dude about my age back then. And in 2012 in Santa Barbara a guy was attacked by a shark - Now every day I have sharks that swim around me of two kinds- One has never bitten anyone - Sand Sharks - another type wood have to look up does bit but only like if you were to grab it and try to play with it. No one I know has been bitten.
On occasion a Porpoise will spook me cause they can at the rite angle look like big sharks - I am still trying for a close up personal encounter with a porpie - So far I get close n they just laff and move away but one day I am going to make one my pal.

Hey I forgot to add - few years ago just North of me about 40 minutes drive is a now shut down Nuke Power plant. (Recently shut down for stupid dumb engineering(
A great white with her Baby were hanging around so I drove up there back around 2010 just to do a quick swim with them. No Surf board cause I was not born n a pumpkin patch. So I very carefully and
S L O W as can be swam out - and then a bit faster but not to cause attention got my ass back to beach - Just to say I had swam with the Great White Sharks - and NO I waited on beach for a few hours with friends but we never did see the Sharks fins. Days later news chopper viewed that Shark the Mother still hanging around

Might as in could but so far while Surfing or Running on the beach including running under lines of Surf fishermen - I No ever C a Great White Shark Nor do I think I have ever viewed one other then in a Tank or TV Film or Internet
Currently Mullet are running in mass around Cardiff by the Sea and they jump and fly out of water as you see pic of Shark trying to fly -
