Topic: what do u think about burger king's proud whopper

do u think it's a good idea or bad idea

i think it's harmless. lots of queer ppl are saying it's just burger king trying to cash in on the movement but... idk. just the fact that a huge corporation can get away with this is a sign of the times. and maybe, like it or not, corporations shape a lot of what we view as acceptable.

Wow, I can't believe how long it took some of those people to get it. Corporations are experts at putting the same shit in different wrappers, so this is just a new spin on it.

I'm surprised Taco Bell didn't do it first.

I cant believe im saying this hit me a little, but it did. The fact that its a good corporate move to support equal rights for gays makes me dare I day proud. In a country where corporations have so much control, and influence this is a pretty big deal. Both because Burger King saying it's okay will help normalize it for others, but also because it has become so normalized that Burger King a company primarily interested in profits saw it as a good move.

Burger King's ingenious plan is already unfolding in this very thread. Slap some bullshit wrapper on their shit-food and all of a sudden, "That's cute! This hit me!". It's called marketing, idiots.

Fuck Burger King.

Because their food tastes like shit and they resort to crooked marketing compaigns in order to gain more profit from the predictable bleeding heart left.

They're just as bad as Chick-fil-A when they did that anti-gay shit in order to gain more profit from the predictable bigot right.

> That's not fair. BK burgers are actually pretty good.

I thought they were passable and better then McD's cept I don't eat them that often THEN because of posts by bert aka asram on TC about his passion for Wendy's. I need a quick burger fix couple weeks ago and went to one butttt I was mistraken - It was In& Out - Major long line to get in - Ultra Tiny limited menu - Super Clean looking Kitchen staffed with 5 x's the Employees I C at Burger King - Not exaggerating.

Could see my fries being made to order - Gal takes a boiled potato out of vat and hand presses it into slices - dumps in2 my Fryer just for ME - Another employee takes the finished frys out to salt them and that gets dumped into another wire rack to toss salt evenly. Could go on - Got it home and was just Shocked -

In n Out was wayyyyyyyy more better then Burger King so I hit the Net for look up of fast food burger ratings

Many different sites on Google offer up ratings - Consumer Reports puts In n out at top

http://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/best-burgers-at-fast-food-chains-thrillist-nation

In n out comes in 2nd Burger King #6 McD's #4 which is odd cause on about 7 lists I checked McD's and Burger King were towards the very bottom

Anyway give In n Out a try next tyme you go for - and First place: Five Guys is Always 1st place or 2nd on every list I looked at jockeying with In & Out - I have 5 Guys on my list to try soon - IT is far far more expensive then In n Out $5.49 vs $2.20 so it better be more better

Also that photo is EXACTLY the way mine looked when I got mine home

er ok - I did look at In n Out web site and it turns out menu varies but not much over the nation. Mine offered A single or double burger - Just one size fries which by amount is what you get from a large potato and that was a lot of Fries for very little money. Very few choices of drinks -

AH YES UR CORRECT!!!! As I said I am 100% Clueless Newbie to this chain so a look up on web and

http://www.in-n-out.com/menu/not-so-secret-menu.aspx

The animal choice I will NOT be making but perhaps the 3X Meat? I was most happy HELL more then pleased with the off the shelf one - Fresh Ground Meat done at each restaurant makes so much sense re safe way to prepare wot could become toxic if not

Syntax double-posted this 12 years ago, 5 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #486,997

OOOOOPPPPPS

Company has a hard fast rule - Distribution centers are located in California; Phoenix, Arizona; Draper, Utah; and Dallas, Texas; and no restaurant can be built unless its a one day drive from such center.

So locations are limited re USA States

Minimum wage is wayyyy above wot law says - starting at US $10.50 per hour in California, as of April 2013

Anon K dank ya much fun read - considering we are talking about a dirt cheep simple burger - I think I will go the extra crispy on fries next tyme - Still almost a virgin given In n out has broken my cherry just once so far - Will even change plans to fit in a custom burger at no extra charge -

I still are Confucius - Its hard to view but $2.20 is the cost of the double double at my local joint and photo says $2.20 even as full out custom but I no c the 2nd burger n cheese - AS IF it wood fit but never the less -

The first pic with grilled onions is visible with them pickles which I will ask for in my next visit butttt still price on pic is $2.20 but no c 2nd burger nor 2nd cheese.

I just wasted my tyme in a reply to the infamous Fatfuck re horrid toxic food in China and have yet to eat brunch this Sunday so your reply is most welcome. I invest a bunch in stock market and after my Cherry busting experience I said HEY How come I no invest in this company (I never invest in restaurants) but I did look c if I could n they have always been a private company so not possible.

ALSO ALSO thanks because for my tastes the Fries and they were good but not perfect re I like more Crisp - Had to much salt for my fyne tuned palate - Next tyme I will ask for 1/2 salt!
