I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Other programs means other but not all. I don't really use Linux or ubuntu. My work stations are 100% Sun Workstations which are UNIX. So tell me does Unbuntu still using the Bourne shell? Or is it the Born again Bash version - ok I fuked with Bourne for Born Again but hey who doesn't.

Python uses the Get command. But please remember I am a RF Hardware Engineer who only uses Software to control my Hardware. I do not rite the software but can on occasion do a patch or fix in C++ AND More PERL then anyone should trust me with. Get command can do much in PERL as well as UNIX Linux
