Route 50 House of Flame (Home of Crabi Gras)

February 23, 2014

The third annual Crawfish Boil & Muskrat Stew Fest will be held 12-5pm on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 in downtown Cambridge. The festival features live Cajun blues music (Jimmy Cole and his band as well as Evan Button), traditional Louisiana and Eastern Shore food items (including crawfish, muskrat, and oysters plus hot dogs and hamburgers for the faint of heart), hot sauce tastings, seasonal libations, and more.Outside at Cannery Way, in the 400 block of Race Street, next to Slick's Barber Shop in downtown Cambridge, Maryland. Admission is $5 and supports Cambridge Main Street.Many downtown shops will be open that day for festival-goers who want to shop. Sponsored by Crabi Gras (the specialty food store now housed at the new Route 50 House of Flame), the Crawfish Boil & Muskrat Stew Fest is scheduled for the day after competitors from both South Louisiana and Eastern Shore face off in the annual World Muskrat Skinning Championships held as part of the National Outdoor Show in nearby Golden Hill

There was probably something wrong with it if it didn't run away. I don't see too many muskrats around here, people kill them and pretty much everything else. There are usually healthy populations at the state and city lakes though.
