I actually watched a cyclist blow through a red light while riding on the wrong side of the road without slowing and then almost get hit by a car making a right hand turn. Had the driver hit the cyclist I would have seriously stuck around to offer testimony to the police that the cyclist was completely disobeying traffic laws and that the driver had no way of expecting traffic to be coming at him head on from the same side of the road. As an avid pedestrian, I'm a little pissed at the "I'm suddenly on the sidewalk now doing 30mph, get out my way!" attitude I've seen so often. I'm convinced it's a only a matter of time before I beat one to death with a "Share the road" sign. (pictured)

Anyway, if you're cyclist: please don't be a dick. Actually share the road. (EDIT: and the sidewalk when you decide you are going to suddenly use it...) Don't assume it's yours. I know there are a lot of considerate cyclists out there; and I've met more of them than the bad ones. It's the fucktards that make people laugh at cyclists complaining.
