Honestly, I dont really get the phemonen, despite most people's insistince that they do not care about me, or actively despise me, my threads do seem to get a fair amount of attention. Granted that after the cupcake/cutie pie thing ended that attention dipped quite drastically, which I understand, those were some fun stories, and Kirby stories arent nearly as comical, no Cheesecake factories or crying for 3 hours.

No, it isn't about you being mean, I just get a sense that in general you have a sensitive side to you that comes out in not always the most easily digestible fashions. Yeah, just shoot me an e-mail with your #, and I will send you a text with my name. Id like to call you only because I don't want you have to deal with any charges.
As far as saying "out there" things, there isn't really one singular reason behind it, but I will name off some of the most likely possibilities. It could be a joke/troll of some sort. It could be a mental exercise, forming an idea that's very outlandish, and then defending it is not only entertaining for me, but also helps me see different perspectives, and have a better hold on my more genuine perspectives. It could also be an exercise in story telling.
Negatively, but honestly possible, it could be a form of cognitive dissonance. Let's say that there's near undeniable that Brooke cheated on me, there's a good chance I would try very hard to come up with a reason why she probably didn't, or if it was undeniable then come up with a reason why it isn't a big deal. It might also be a sort of self justification, often times instead of just admitting that I fucked up, I will spin a yarn or convey a mindset that suggests I did what I did intentionally, and fully aware of the consequences. The self-justification although publicly announced is not to save face, and in fact a flat out admittence of failure would often work better, but rather a self assuring measure. Not only do I say it's okay, but so do my peers.
Finally, we might just have a disagreement. Rationality isn't always absolutely objective. But ultimately I am usually aware of what the rational solution to a problem is, and if I don't then I am aware of that as well.
