Think this is probably my last post/reply for nite being its Friday n tyme to get fingers all greasy with ribs at friends house. Ribs n Beer a great way to start the holiday.
So and I admit there is much I do not no - Looked up your Maslow and sorry I did such cause yes much to learn from him I Guess On the other hand

Given I run everyday on beach...Why o Why did I have to read such - At least I have him beat being alive at my age and running - Perhaps his diet was no so much so good.
Now out for the Nite - actually back early but 2nite is very serious work that will not allow multi-tasking - Its work for me re Meteor showers nor could I see them locally do to May Grey sky but will have live streaming feeds on a 40 inch monitor to just view as NASA n NOAA provide such just for a view not a useful tool

Camelopardalids mostly North America dusty remnants of Comet209P/LINEAR which if I remember korrectly is somewhat recent discovery.
On occasions bits of comets end up doing very bad stuff to Satellites. Punch holes in Solar cells or worse a hole in fuel tanks - More then one dead bird as result. Life cut short with many.
One turns tanks away from projected bad stuff bits with lots of NOAA n Norad help. No Satellite operator including spy guys have equipment to track Meteor showers so fully dependent on those who have equip and supercomputers for help.
Huge number should lite up the sky 2nite depending on where you be - North America 2am and on should be fantastic unless ur a Satellite

He's not kidding. If you are in the Northern hemisphere and can find Polaris, then look just under it at around 2am. Then keep looking for a while. The meteor shower is supposed to be impressive. (If you've never watched a meteor shower, then don't expect "impressive" to mean any more than a couple shooting stars per minute. (That's "impressive" to people who like watching meteor showers. Fuck off, don't judge us!) Falco, just watch the fireworks at 9:35 and go home when they let you. There is no point in looking for anything more in the northern sky.)
BTW: If you live in SoCal, then the light pollution from the LA basin on a Friday night is pretty much too thick for even the closest stars to penetrate. Have fun staring into a dim and purple sky. :(

Watched via multiple live streams I split up on a 40 Inch monitor as I worked - looking at mass of telemetry from many Satellites to see which is about all I can say about seeing Meteor stuff up close
Total Marine Layer last night so I wood have had to drive about one hour East for no Marine layer n lights of sky
However from my bluff at Ocean a Blue edge - When no marine layer I do have a nice view of Stars not messed up by San Diego city lights - But its like 50% of Sky/Space that can be viewed Far East of me,
NOAA says they expect more 2nite per hour - Norad ain't saying much...Which is kinda common - They provide a private set of live stream feeds and are super cool to work with at Launch of new Satellites or when one is in trouble and has lost one - They once fucked up someThing arwful on that.
