Not exactly. I think it was 1969-70 when someone I worked with suggested I join him for lunch in Santa Monica. His guest was Hubbard. I was clueless about the Dianetics thing or may have been aware but did not connect it with Hubbard. I was a fan of Si Fi so I did no his Si Fi background but one attempt at reading one story and I gave up -

I still have no clue why the guy I worked with wanted me to meet Hubbard. Came away clueless but it was a nice Ocean side place to eat so nothing of value was lost. Nor did he mention anything related to Dianetics. We did discuss technology cept at the tyme I could not tell him anything about wot I was working on. So it was technology in general.
