He got out of prison, I shot him an e-mail, and from there we've been sending e-mails back and forth. I like him, he's very nice, comes off as positive, etc. He's also very narcissistic, there's a sense that affection is very much transactional to him, like he craves adoration and attention, and sees giving it as a tool to get it, but it's really just that, a tool to get it.
I still like him, I suppose as long as you're being friendly, your motivations don't matter all that much. Just the image he's trying to give off that he's a selfless giver now is paper thin.
