Academia has those high goals and after in his case he was refused admission to PhD program and that was after 15 years to finish his MA. He is now living in total failure teaching what McDonald burger flippers make.

A train leaves a city headed west at 120 km/h at 7:30am. Thirty minutes later, a car leaves the same train station traveling at 80 km/h north. At 9:00am a different train leaves a station 250km northwest of the first train station, and this train is traveling east-by-southeast at a rate of 45 km/h. All of the vehicles travel at a constant rate of speed except for the car, which makes a ten minute stop at 8:30am. At what time will the three vehicles be closest together?

I just don't want ya to end up like say Matthew R Miller. He spent 15 years for his MA which was for academia and useless except as a burger flipper for McD's
He of course needed the PhD to end up as a Prof in Academia yet he failed to be qualified and was not allowed into the PhD program. The only work he could find was not even part of the 15 years in Uni.
Alas he now competes with backpackers who wander into China and are offered McD wages.
Most of them are not qualified to teach English to Chinese nor is he. This will make little sense to you Yet he once was allowed to post here but in now on Permaban because his life included being stuck in rut with a fecal fetish he tried to spread over the chans.
You said your major was psychology and anthropology. By now you have studied such strange creatures on Planet Earth. So anyway this Matthew R Miller and his fecal fetish ends up living in a city in China infamous for using cooking oil recovered from raw sewage. Recently disclosed that the water in toilets is cleaner the the water from tap he bathes in. Most of his peers will not eat the local food re poor Hygiene and horrid food poison issues.
Just do not want you to end up such as Matthew. Its a good idea to have a back up plan in case you do not get in2 PhD program.

She has received a Ferrari, a Range Rover, and two Bentleys & a million-dollar apartment, among other properties in her name and she appears to have graduated high school.

On the civil side of Kunming China this just came in:
Food is Kunming is ALMOST universally bad. Greasy Loaded with MSG & god knows what other chemicals
BillDan (213 posts) • about an hour ago
Anybody who praises this gutter oil garbage like the Matt Miller does is somebody who has no business running a food blog,
because they obviously do not know anything about good food.
I've lived in different parts of China, including Jilin City, Beijing and Shanghai and would have to say that
Kunming food is the rankest and most untastly,
but the local people are just so hypnotized but it they often cannot even travel to another city for very long unless they are certain they will be able to find beef noodles that taste like they were served up from some greasy pot in an alley in Kunming somewhere.
I was hungry the other day and went out to try and find something new (I do eat local food and eat it regularly, as I have no choice in this narrow minded city) and decided to assume myself and count noodle stands or small local restaurants (苍蝇小官儿, or house fly restaurants!) whose focus was rice noodles. I got bored and stopped after 50!
I read an articles by Matt Miller -who is a slightly refined in approach troll, but a troll nonetheless-"amazing and informed" food blog about 5 reasons Americans hate good food and decided this guy just sees himself above Americans simply on the basis
that he can chow down the local garage and not barf it back up or poop it out in 20 minutes because of the crude impact the sewage gutter oil
and MSG have on his highly evolved system. Bravo. He has gone totally native. He is the kind of laowai we all aspire to be!
I have a strong feeling his bitterness and hatred about people having food connections to their old culture does not extend off the North American continent, and if an Indian (red dot not feather) complained to him about not being to find good tandoori chicken and rice pilaf here said Indian gentleman would not be told to quit eating Indian food since he is now i China. His vitriol is directed at people from his own country whom he places himself above.
Food is Kunming is ALMOST universally bad. Greasy and the makers seem unable to not add tons of spicy stuff to it. Loaded with MSG and god knows what other chemicals. I went to a local store yesterday and just looked at all the packed dofu and chicken feet and stuff, all with preservatives and chemicals.
China is a junk food nation, with oily street potatoes
that make McDonald's down right healthy in comparison.
Am I eat the stuff here. I am about to go get me some kao ji rou gain fan at a local house fly eatery.
What choice do I have in this xenophobic town. I know a dongbai place that is run by dongbai people and serve authentic daongbai food, but it is really far away and I just want to eat. Which I hat I do in Kunming. I get hungry and I wander out my door and just find something to put in my mouth and take away the hunger pains.
Had two greasy ass pao pao bing things for an early lunch. There was about 6 stands to choose from side by side. Wow. Such variety.
Anybody who praises this sewage gutter oil garbage like the Matt Miller does is somebody who has no business running a food blog,
because they obviously do not know anything about good food.
Rather they just want to express their misanthropic disdain for other foreigners who crave some sort of food form their home country once every few months.
I just read about Chinese people working in Africa, in Kenya to be specific. Guess what? They DO NOT stop craving Chinese food -and their own particular, regional Chinese food at that- and start eating meal after meal of delicious Kenyan food. They actually want the food they grew up with and do not want to change what they like just to appear to be culturally enlightened to some pompous self-style food critic who doesn't know MSG from M&Ms.
With that said let me go get my Gaifan (some oily food slopped over white rice! Ingenious!) and stop the hunger pains in my belly.
Since in the epicurean hell hole known as Kunming one learns to eat to live rather than live to eat,
but some people love gilding lilies to appear that much better than those around them, or at least in one area anyway.
Matt Miller He is the great white food god from American. As much as he hates it, he is white and from America.
