Hello, Minichan! I am currently working on a college assignment, part of which requires me to compare an established personality test to one of my own making. Now, I could have used those boring "RL" people for this, but I decided that it would be more fun to use internet people instead. Guess I'll be able cite my target population as "internet users", if that's a thing I need to do. The specific area of personality I am examining in is introversion, by the way.
To begin with, please complete this test, and post your results here. Your score in introversion is the only one that really matters, but you can post the whole thing to compare with others if you want.
Next, answer the following questions. Answering is similar to the previous test. Put a 1 for "strongly disagree", and a 5 for "strongly agree".
1) I actively try to socialise with others
2) I am usually talkative around other people
3) I prefer solitary pursuits
4) I would prefer a small, close group of friends to a large group of friends
5) I open up to others easily and freely
6) Noisey environments irritate me
7) Extended socialisation makes me want to spend time alone afterwards to "recover"
8) I would feel sad if I spent an extended period of time without socialising with anyone
I tried to make them somewhat good, but they're probably not perfect. It doesn't matter too much, though. It's more about evaluating and comparing scores and all that rather than actually making a good test.

'Kay, that is a sufficient number of results. Got them all converted to percentages and ready for a statistical test. Thanks to everyone who took part, you were very helpful. If you still want to do the test, feel free, I guess. Don't know that I'll end up using the results, though.

It's probably due to a larger number of questions on the site test, as well as learned behaviours - noisy, crowded environments don't bother me because I spend most of the week working in one and I am now accustomed to them for example.

Actually, the site test may have had fewer questions. There's 16 catagories and 85 questions. So, assuming an even split, each one gets 5 or 6 questions. Though they may have done it so similar catagories, like introversion and independance, overlap in their questions.
But yeah, there's always going to be individual differences. Guess I can say that my test could have accounted for those better.
